音樂劇悲慘世界( Les Misérables):《悲慘世界》是由克勞德-米歇爾·勳伯格和阿蘭·鮑伯利（Alain Boublil）共同創作的一部音樂劇，改編自維克多·雨果的同名小說。故事以法國大革命為背景，講述主人公尚萬強在多年前遭判重刑，假釋後計劃重生做人，改變社會，但卻遇上種種困難。該劇於1980年在法國巴黎的 Palais des Sports 首次公演。原本預計上演八個星期，結果演出了十六個星期，因為之後的日子場地已經被預訂才不得不結束。悲慘世界曾被英國 BBC 電台第二台的聽眾選為「全國第一不可或缺的音樂劇」。 [1] 2005年10月8日，該劇在倫敦皇后劇場慶祝二十週年，而且已經預訂演出至2007年1月6日，取代了安德魯·洛伊·韋伯的《貓》成為倫敦西區上演年期最長的音樂劇。《悲慘世界》與《貓》，《歌劇魅影》，《西貢小姐》一同被認為是20世紀80年代以來歐洲最具影響力的的音樂劇之一。(維基百科)
I dreamed a dream:選自音樂劇悲慘世界,劇中女主角Fantine,被丈夫拋棄獨自帶著小孩生活,又被工頭趕出來沒工作,女兒生病又需要錢看病,被現實的重重難關打擊而唱出這首歌。我想一般人在還沒認識蘇珊大嬸之前,應該只有音樂劇迷會聽過這首歌,因著蘇珊大嬸演唱這首歌而爆紅,其實這首歌本來就真的滿好聽的,我自己也很喜歡悲慘世界裡的歌,這歌詞也正中了我的心,當我在重重打擊下一度想放棄時就會對這首歌感同身受,但堅持到底的個性依然在我心中,永不放棄希望!
